    It’s possible this could have been staged, but look at the reasons why…Turkey was going to have normalized relations with Israel something that Iran would not want…they have since gone to embrace Erdogan and his regime ever since the coup.

    The other angle is that it’s possible there were rival Islamic fanatics whom saw Erdogan as too moderate, much similar in trying to assassinate him like Anwar Sadat of Egypt which also explains the coup attempt. Even the allege ring leader of the coup isn’t a secular nationalist…he’s a former ally of Erdogan….
