>USSR2/Middle East Files: Russian admiral predicts US strike against Iran, Kremlin delivers SAMs; Rice, Cheney blast Tehran-backed Iraqi insurgents

>For dot connectors, a major conflagration is looming in the Middle East as Russia supplies nuclear client state Iran with surface-to-air missiles and the Pentagon expands its military presence in the region, including 600 Patriot anti-missile missiles. Israeli news source Debka reports:

The Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff told Congress Friday that Iranians are now on the US target list in Iraq. He spoke of an “aggressive ground campaign” against Iranian networks operating inside Iraq. The Pentagon has also referred to possible cross-border raids into Iran, but so far none has been approved. The stakes have been rising since Wednesday, Jan. 10, when the US president vowed to seek out and destroy Iranian and Syrian networks disrupting US operations in Iran and fomenting violence.

The Islamo-Marxist Axis is personified in the picture above: Mahmoud Ahmadinejad embraces his Venezuelan alter ego Hugo Chavez during the Iranian President’s previous junket to Caracas in September 2006. Ahmadinejad just wrapped up another tour of the Latin American Red Axis between January 13 and 16.

Echoing President George Bush’s admonitions, televised on January 10, against the terrorist-sponsoring state of Iran, both Vice-President Dick Cheney and Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice have warned the Islamic theocracy against supporting the Ba’athist insurgency in Iraq. The Kremlin, which concocted the problem in the first place by nourishing the imams in Iran from the get-go, continues to discretely monitor the beating of war drums in the Middle East and offer prognostications that portray the USA in a bad light:

Russian admiral predicts impending US strike against Iran

Former Russian Black Sea Fleet Commander Admiral Edward Baltin said Tuesday that the presence of so many nuclear submarines in the Arab Gulf waters pointed to likely plans for a US attack against Iran.

Baltine, who was quoted by Interfax news agency, said the presence of US submarines in Gulf waters meant that Washington was contemplating a strike against Iran.

“The presence of the submarines indicates that Washington has not abandoned plans to launch a sudden attack against Iran,” the admiral said.

He blamed Monday’s collision between a US submarine and a Japanese sea liner near the Strait of Hormuz on the fact that US submarines needed to sail relatively higher than their usual depths to get clearer vision enabling them to zero in on likely targets.

The admiral recalled that, in previous conflicts, US submarines had “cleaned up” the road to pave the way for an air strike through destroying enemy air defense installations.

In the interest of furthering peace in the Middle East, the neo-Soviet state is kindly unloading some excess military hardware in Tehran, which has warned Israel to back off over the issue of Iran’s nuclear program. This was the proclamation of President Mahmoud (“Iwannajihad/ Imanutjob”) Ahmadinejad during his recent PR tour in the Western Hemisphere: “They [Israel] are aware of Iran’s strength,” he intoned. “I believe they will not do such a stupid thing, and its masters won’t as well… Everyone knows that the Zionist regime has nuclear weapons while Iran abides by the international laws. This regime wants to hurt the Iranian people. They have many dreams but they are not so strong.”

Russia Delivers Surface-to-Air Missiles to Iran — Defence Minister

Russia has delivered new anti-aircraft missile systems to Iran and will consider further requests by Tehran for defensive weapons, the Reuters news agency quoted Russian Defence Minister Sergei Ivanov as saying on Tuesday.

“We have supplied the modern short-range anti-aircraft systems TOR-M1 in accordance with our contracts,” Ivanov told reporters “Iran is not under sanctions and if it wants to buy defensive … equipment for its armed forces then why not?”

A defence ministry source later told Reuters deliveries of hardware under the $1 billion deal, which has been criticised by the West, have not yet been completed.

    >I have been noticing how the “peace” movement touts that Russian admiral’s supposed prediction of a U.S. strike on Iran. There have been conspiracy theories floating about like what Ron Paul the Faux Rightist “peace” candidate has been promoting along with other “peace” movement types denouncing any type of military action against Iran. But you can be sure these propagandist types would then accuse the U.S. as “creating” Iran like they did with Saddam and Osama. At the same time they would protect Iran from any U.S. intervention. You should also look into the End of Empire website a pro-socialist/anti-American website that uses Iran Solidarity as a front group.

    >There was also a report of a Brit being accused of giving military secret plans to Iran along with folks like Daniel Ellsberg going against any intervention against Iran.

    >You might want to look at my blog because I have the group-Bulletin for the Atomic Scientists posted along with Albert Einstein, a highly profiled enemy operative within the atomic scientist community designed to radicalize its members into the Communist led nuclear disarmament movement.Einstein was quite active in subversive movements and wasn’t just a mere genius, but rather a genius at deceit as he encouraged the United States to have nuclear weapons, before he then opposed it just like John Kerry doing a flip-flop in his 2004 election run.
